I am pleased to announce the 9th annual Microbiology Student Symposium. Our symposium is scheduled for Saturday April 5th, 2008 in 159 Mulford Hall from
9am to 4pm. The program will include talks by students, poster presentations, and two keynote presentations. We are very proud to host Dr. Michele Swanson (http://www.med.umich.edu/microbio/bio/swanson_m.htm) and Dr. Jared Leadbetter (http://www.its.caltech.edu/~jaredl/) as our keynote speakers this year.
The symposium is an excellent opportunity to interact with microbiology researchers from the surrounding area. We encourage you to support the student research occurring at UC Berkeley and other campuses. Online registration is now available at the MSG website (http://plantbio.berkeley.edu/~bacteria). The symposium is free for all and includes a catered lunch. Please help us ensure the success of the symposium by registering as soon as possible.
If you are a student (grad or undergrad) or you have promising student researchers in your lab, consider submitting or encouraging them to submit an abstract for a poster presentation or talk. Please submit abstracts on the MSG website by March 14th.
